Hi there, I'm um-well I don't know how to put this. Johnny Blaze? Maybe you've heard of me?

Okay, well. I'm Johnny Blaze. I'm a stunt rider.
That's all that matters, and chances are it's all you need to know. Okay? Cool.

Johnny Blaze, son of Barton Blaze and Naomi Blaze is, as he says, a stunt rider who got his start at the Quentin Carnival far too many years ago. Born and raised a Carnie, Johnny is a wandering spirit, uncomfortable with staying in one place for too long, and more likely to flee at the first sign of trouble rather then stay and fight. (Which doesn't mean he's not capable of kicking some ass upon occasion. It's just in his nature) His father was a famous stunt cyclist. His mother left the two of them when Johnny was four-moving across the country trying to escape the curse of the Kale bloodline. She re-married and had Danny and his sister-Johnny's half siblings. [Still the same, but different ne?]

Barton, when Johnny was 16, was diagnosed with lung cancer. A young Johnny found out before his father was able to tell him. Griefstricken, he abandoned his plans to leave with his girlfriend-Roxanne Simpson, and head out on the open road. That night, an older man came to visit and promised Johnny that he'd cure his father in exchange for his soul. Johnny, being a kid, agreed.

The next day however, despite his father being cured of his cancer, he was in a fatal accident in the middle of the show. Johnny witnessed the accident, leaving the carnival and Roxanne forever.

The devil doesn't forget however. And you can't run from him forever.

Ghostrider As part of his contract, Johnny must act as the devil's intermediary on earth, acting as a sort of bounty hunter to return damned souls back to the pit where they belong. Shanghaied into service, Johnny looses whatever humanity he had and becomes a living skeleton, wreathed in hellfire. The rider appears only at night, and only in the presence of true evil, both demonic and human. The Ghostrider is an entity of few words, a sort of terminator robot that will hunt down a demon until the sun rises-and continue the hunt when the sun sets again.
Penance Stare-The Rider's main weapon, it basically lights the soul on fire, forcing the evildoer to experience the pain and suffering that they've caused innocent people. Once used, the individual is rendered a mute. (unless able to assist themselves in some way, via magic or other devices. Or if they don't have a soul)
Firey Chain/Fire-The Rider is basically a pyrokenetic. With practice, he can manipulate fire, using it to create walls, and attach it to his chain, which then becomes a very powerful weapon. He's done this trick with other weapons too (most notably carter slade's gun) but it works best with the chain.
Indestructable- As the rider, it's impossible to kill him. You'd have to be a demon of intense power to provoke him out of the change and actually hurt him. As a human he's not entirely vunerable either, but it takes a hell of alot for Johnny to knock himself out of the saddle. The Devil (as it's said) is keeping him alive because he's got a very important job to do. Hence why he's able to do things like fall off his bike, get hit, etc-without severe consequences. Any injuries he sustains while as the rider (as long as they're not too severe) will show up when he's human again.

This is pre fight with doctor strange [Marvel Comics, Vicious Cycle Vol.1] Johnny, working through movie canon. (They smooshed it together) That means that Danny Ketch is living in New York exist. But he still has a connection to the Kale family (IE, Carter Slade (The phantom rider, not the ghost rider) is actually Noble Kale. Naomi was a ghost-rider,)
